I love returning to New York. I spend time with my two grandsons, see old friends, re-connect with cousins. So when an invitation came to serve on a panel of authors at the 10th Annual Langston Hughes Arts Festival, I said yes without hesitation, research, or questions. Grandsons AND a book talk? Perfect.
It turned out a much richer experience than I imagined.
I served with amazing women. Acclaimed authors Bernice McFadden, Katia Ulysse, and poet Angel Nafis.
The conversation was rich, engaging, and fun. Thanks for the opportunity Queens Public Library!
