Meet H. Gorlitz Scott—comic artist, fantasy author, and all-around hilarious storyteller. Born “somewhere between orange groves” and raised “amongst the alligator people” of Florida (or as she calls it, Australia Lite), Scott brings her quirky wit and boundless imagination to everything she does. From illustrating for gaming companies like Aldorlea Games, Rose Portal Games, and The Historical Game Company to creating her own line of comics, she’s built a career where art and humor collide. These days, she channels her early make-believe adventures into writing young adult fantasy—thankfully a much faster process than the interpretive dance she admits she’s terrible at. Living in Orlando with her husband, her “swamp elf” kid, and her legendary “sentient hair,” Scott keeps writing, drawing, and building worlds full of dragons, humor, and heart.
