Writers Write: A Conversation About Craft, Curiosity and Continuing to Grow

What makes someone a writer? For me, part of the answer is very simple: Writers write.

I recently sat down with Daphne Gray-Grant, The Publication Coach, for a conversation that wasn't about launching a book or winning an award. It was about the work itself—how I write, what gets in the way, what I've learned from reading, and why I've changed my mind about research.

We also talked about something I believe deeply: writers need other writers. Writing may happen alone at the keyboard, but becoming a better writer doesn't have to be a solitary journey.

And perhaps my favorite reminder from the conversation: "The minute we stop learning, we stop growing."
